We Answered the Web’s Most Asked CoolSculpting® Questions

Answering the most asked questions about CoolSculpting.

CoolSculpting® has quickly grown into one of the most popular nonsurgical procedures in America. It can freeze away fat cells in problem areas with a single quick and easy procedure. Because of its popularity, I receive many CoolSculpting questions from Fort Worth-area men and women. They want to know if this treatment can truly create the results they’re looking for.

We always want our patients to be as informed as possible about any procedure. So in this blog post, we’ll answer some of the most frequently asked CoolSculpting-related questions.

What is CoolSculpting? How does CoolSculpting work?

CoolSculpting is a nonsurgical body contouring procedure that can slim and tone “pinchable” areas of fat. It works by suctioning the targeted tissue into the CoolSculpting device and applying precisely controlled temperatures that “freeze” and destroy fat cells. As the body naturally sheds these dead cells, the fatty tissue begins to reduce in size.

Does CoolSculpting hurt?

No, CoolSculpting is not a painful procedure. Most patients scroll on their phones or watch our selection of Netflix moves to help pass the time during treatment. Some patients experience redness or numbness around the target area, but these issues quickly fade within a few hours or days.

How long does CoolSculpting last?

Patients notice visible fat reduction around 3 to 4 weeks after treatment. And once these fat cells have been frozen and destroyed during the procedure, they are often gone for good. Patients who follow a healthy, active lifestyle can enjoy their new bodies for many, many years to come.

Can you use CoolSculpting to treat more than one area at once?

Yes, we can treat more than one area with CoolSculpting in a single session. Our practice offers DualSculpting (and even triple-sculpting!), which uses multiple CoolSculpting machines simultaneously. This is an excellent option for patients who have more than one trouble spot they would like to address. Using multiple devices allows men and women to fix several areas of the body in less time.

Does “DIY CoolSculpting” at home actually work?

As we talked about in our earlier blog post, DIY attempts at CoolSculpting don’t work. In fact, it’s potentially dangerous to directly expose your skin to the cold temperatures of an ice pack. If you want to freeze away fat and slim down your body, trust the professionals to perform this procedure. You’ll get better results and keep your body safe.

By being more informed about CoolSculpting and the results it can create, you can better decide if this treatment is right for you.
