When you’re considering body contouring, few procedures are as effective—or as customizable—as liposuction. How much does liposuction cost? At our Fort Worth practice, the answer depends on your goals, your anatomy, and the areas you want to refine. Below, we’ll break down what influences cost, the kinds of results you can expect, and how we approach this transformative procedure.
What Factors Influence the Cost of Liposuction?
Our starting price for liposuction is $9,800; however, your final quote will reflect your personalized surgical plan, and the cost can be spread over time with our financing options. Here are the most common factors that affect liposuction pricing:
1. Number and Size of Treatment Areas
We often treat multiple zones—like the abdomen, flanks, and back—in a single session. Treating more areas involves more time, surgical precision, and recovery considerations. Smaller, isolated areas like the arms or neck may fall within the same starting range but are still fully customized to your needs.
2. Technology Used
As well as traditional tumescent liposuction, I offer PAL and ultrasound-assisted VASER® liposuction to gently loosen fat for more efficient, precise removal. I often add Renuvion® to tighten the skin (learn what makes it a perfect complement for liposuction). These technologies help me create smoother, more defined results and frequently lead to a shorter recovery—but they do add value to the overall procedure cost.
3. Complexity of the Case
Some patients have denser or more fibrous fat, skin laxity, or unique anatomical challenges that require a more customized surgical approach. Scar tissue from prior liposuction procedures may also make fat removal more difficult, as correcting uneven results or irregular contours from less skilled providers demands greater precision and care. These factors can increase the time and technical skill required, and may increase the overall cost.
4. Combination Procedures
I often combine liposuction with tummy tucks and breast augmentation, or used it in a fat transfer procedure such as a Brazilian butt lift for more complete body reshaping. While combining procedures is typically more efficient than staging them separately, it does change the surgical plan and pricing structure.
5. Surgical Setting and Anesthesia
I perform all liposuction procedures at our very own fully accredited outpatient surgical center, typically using general anesthesia. Your safety, comfort, and results are my top priorities, and that’s built into every treatment plan we create.

Abdomen and Flanks
One of the most popular treatment zones, the midsection often includes the stomach, love handles, and lower back. In our first patient case, we performed a mommy makeover with VASER liposuction of the abdomen and flanks, plus a tummy tuck and breast augmentation. Liposuction helped shape a slimmer waist and enhanced her overall contour.

Chin and Neck
Liposuction of the chin and jawline is ideal for patients who want more definition without major surgery. This next patient paired neck lipo with Renuvion for skin tightening, creating a noticeable difference just three months after surgery.

Arms
Upper arm fullness is a common concern, especially for patients who are otherwise fit. In this next case, we used liposuction to slim and contour the arms, helping the patient feel more confident in sleeveless clothing.

Back and Thighs
These areas are often treated alongside the abdomen or buttocks. For this next patient, we performed a tummy tuck, liposuction of the back and thighs, as well as skin tightening and fat transfer to the buttocks—resulting in a beautifully balanced silhouette.

Liposuction for Men
Men can benefit from liposuction, too! Our male patients often seek liposuction to enhance muscle definition and reduce stubborn fat. Men also have a different silhouette and more fibrous fat, making it very important that they choose an experienced plastic surgeon who will retain (and refine) those classically masculine contours.
Our next patient example shows how non-surgical enhancements can elevate your results. By pairing his liposuction procedure with a series of CoolTone® muscle stimulation treatments, our patient is proof of how minimally invasive options can transform your figure.

How Much Fat Can Be Removed With Liposuction?
In most cases, up to 5 liters (about 11 pounds) of fat can be removed safely during one outpatient procedure. That said, liposuction is not a weight-loss tool—it’s designed to sculpt your shape, not change the number on the scale.
For example, this next patient came to me frustrated by persistent lower abdominal fat despite being fit and active. After liposuction, she had a flatter, more defined stomach without changing her weight dramatically.

Does Liposuction Leave Scars?
Liposuction incisions are small—typically less than a centimeter—and I place them in natural skin creases or areas easily hidden by clothing. Most scars fade to nearly invisible over time. When skin tightening is needed, I often use Renuvion, which avoids the need for longer incisions in many cases.
Is Liposuction Safe?
Yes. Liposuction is safe when performed by a board-certified plastic surgeon in an accredited surgical setting. I use state-of-the-art tools like VASER and Renuvion, and every patient is carefully screened to ensure they’re a good candidate for surgery. From pre-op to recovery, your safety is my top priority.
