Can I have children after a mommy makeover?
Mommy makeover surgery does not affect your fertility in any way, so you’ll physically be able to have a baby after surgery. However, Dr. Camp typically recommends against it. This is because the surgery doesn’t prevent additional changes from occurring again—it only repairs existing concerns. Getting pregnant again may undo some of these repairs and necessitate revisionary surgery to maintain your results. To get the most out of your mommy makeover, it’s best to wait until you’re done having children before moving forward with surgery.
When can I go back to work after a mommy makeover?
Most mommy makeover patients take a minimum of 2 weeks away from work and their normal daily activities. A longer break may be required if your job is physically demanding or if your surgery was extensive. Although you’ll be able to head back to the office after a couple of weeks, you’ll need to spend additional time away from working out and other vigorous physical activities. While it can be tough for busy moms to stay off their feet, it’s vital to take the time so your body can heal relatively undisturbed.
