Case Details
This patient is a young active woman (mother of 3) who previously underwent breast augmentation with 330cc implants. Over time, she found her implants interfered with her lifestyle, particularly during physical activity. After careful consideration, she decided she no longer wanted implants or the maintenance they require. She sought a look that felt more comfortable and natural for her, focusing on a smaller, more lifted shape while avoiding excess volume.
We performed a breast implant explantation with a simultaneous breast lift or mastopexy. The inverted T incision allowed us to reshape the breast using a superomedial pedicle approach, providing support and upper pole fullness without implants. We incorporated autoaugmentation techniques in order to preserve as much volume as possible. In addition to using well as brijjets and sylke tape, to optimize her healing and improve scar quality.
At her 3-month follow-up, her results show well-positioned scars and a more proportional, lifted contour. She reports satisfaction with her new breast size and shape. She now feels her breasts better match her active routine and aesthetic goals. She is using silicone gel to her scars and they will continue to fade over time.
For those seeking breast implant explantation in Fort Worth, we take pride in providing individualized, comprehensive care. Dr. Nguyen uses advanced surgical techniques and evidence-based practices to create natural, functional results tailored to each patient’s needs.
