Three months ago, I stepped into a completely new world – both literally and professionally.
Coming from a totally different industry, I wasn’t sure what to expect when I accepted the position as a Front Office Coordinator at Steven Camp MD Plastic Surgery & Aesthetics. I quickly discovered that this beautiful space, filled with skincare, advanced technology, and luxurious touches, also held something even more powerful: a team with purpose, passion, and a genuine care for people. And that changed everything.
From Education to Aesthetics: Changing Perspectives
Before this, I worked in education as a Site Supervisor for an after-school program. That role taught me how to juggle a million things at once, connect with people, and create safe, welcoming spaces. But what I’ve found here is a level of personal connection I didn’t expect.
Our patients aren’t just names on a calendar. They’re people placing their trust in us – often during vulnerable moments. To be part of that journey, even in a small way, is incredibly meaningful.
First Impressions Matter – And That Starts With Me
As a Front Office Coordinator, I’m often the first voice someone hears and the first face they see. I used to think of that as a routine task – but now I see it differently. That first phone call or welcome at the front desk can set the tone for someone’s entire experience.
Whether I’m answering questions from a nervous new patient or calming someone before surgery, I’ve learned that what I do truly matters – and that’s a pretty amazing feeling.
A Team That Truly Cares
One of the most inspiring parts of working here is how genuinely supportive this team is – not just to our patients, but to one another. It’s not about perfection or filters. It’s about confidence, empowerment, and helping people feel good in their own skin.
And it’s contagious. Being in this environment has made me more confident, more present, and more inspired in my own life.
Looking Ahead
In just three months, I’ve already grown so much – and I know this is only the beginning. I’m excited to keep building relationships with our incredible patients, learning more about this amazing industry, and becoming the best version of myself alongside a team that lifts each other up.
Years from now, I hope I’m still here – helping someone schedule their dream surgery, guiding them through their post-op appointments, or simply offering a smile at the front desk. Because this work? It’s beautiful.
