People looking for dermal fillers such as JUVÉDERM® and Restylane®, in Fort Worth, Mansfield, and other nearby Texas communities trust Dr. Steven Camp, board-certified plastic surgeon and injectables trainer for Allergan, for long-lasting, natural-looking results. These fillers can address age-related volume loss, which can cause the face to look gaunt or sometimes a bit deflated and tired. Fillers can also be used to enhance certain features such as the lips or cheeks. In any case, it takes a skilled and artistic injector to create results that look like a more refreshed version of you.

What Happens During Filler Injections?
Your consultation with Dr. Camp is an important part of getting the desired results. Dr. Camp creates a customized treatment plan based on the concerns you describe and your cosmetic goals, along with his thorough examination of the skin’s elasticity and tone. He discusses the specific fillers and why one product might be better suited for your treatment than another. Dr. Camp may also recommend combining fillers with BOTOX® Cosmetic injections or other skincare treatments, such as Forever Young BBL™ photorejuvenation, to produce the optimal results. He also explains how he customizes treatments for men’s unique needs.
How Much Do Filler Injections Cost in Fort Worth?
The price of JUVÉDERM, Restylane, and other dermal fillers depends on a range of factors, including the treatment area, the training and experience of the injector, and the number of injections needed to produce the desired results. Our practice offers competitive prices, but also recommends that patients beware of shopping for “bargain” treatment prices from injectors who may be less skilled.
A Reputation Built on Results
What Are the Best Fillers?
Dr. Camp understands the characteristics of each filler and how combining them can create comprehensive facial rejuvenation lasting from 6 months to 2 years. The fillers Dr. Camp offers include the following:
JUVÉDERM: This family of products includes JUVÉDERM Ultra, JUVÉDERM Ultra Plus, and JUVÉDERM Ultra Plus XC. These are all hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers that effectively improve the appearance of facial contours, wrinkles, and folds.
VOLUMA: VOLUMA is also a JUVÉDERM filler, but is singled out as the first approved by the FDA specifically for restoring volume to the cheeks. VOLUMA can last up to 2 years and has proved to be one of the most popular fillers at our practice.
VOLBELLA®: This is also a JUVÉDERM product and the most recent to be approved by the FDA. VOLBELLA is a silky gel that’s used to produce fuller, more sensuous lips that still look natural. It can also soften the fine lines that can develop around the mouth.
Restylane®: This family of HA products includes Restylane, Restylane-L, and Restylane Lyft (formerly called Perlane®). Restylane Silk is used for lip enhancement and smoothing fine lines around the mouth, while other products in the Restylane family are used for enhancement of contour, folds, and wrinkles.
RADIESSE®: This is the heaviest of facial dermal fillers. It’s composed of a mineral compound that’s found naturally in bones called calcium hydroxylapatite. Besides producing immediate results, RADIESSE also continues to stimulate the production of collagen.
BELOTERO BALANCE®: This is a soft HA filler designed to smooth moderate to severe wrinkles and etched lines. The results are seen immediately and may last for 6 months, depending on the treatment area.
Sculptra®: Sculptra works differently than HA fillers. It is made of poly-L-lactic acid and triggers the gradual production of collagen to create a more youthful appearance. It requires multiple injections scheduled about a month apart. Results develop gradually and can last up to 2 years.
In order to make your treatment as painless and carefree as possible, we also offer Pro-Nox, a 50/50 nitrous oxide, oxygen combination to help relieve pain and anxiety during treatments.

Can Dermal Fillers Be an Alternative to Surgery?
While the results are temporary and not as dramatic, dermal fillers can be an excellent alternative to surgery in the right patients. Popular options include:
These injectable treatments can be a nonsurgical alternative to a facelift for people with early signs of facial aging. Dermal fillers can restore volume in facial folds, around the eyes, and on the cheeks and temples. BOTOX smooths away lines and wrinkles on the upper face and vertical bands on the neck. Performing these treatments together provides a more complete facial rejuvenation than with either treatment on its own.
A liquid rhinoplasty, also called a liquid nose job or nonsurgical rhinoplasty, makes subtle changes to the shape of the nose using dermal filler injections. This alternative to surgical rhinoplasty does not require incisions, anesthesia, or downtime. Liquid rhinoplasty can enhance the bridge or tip of the nose, improve the symmetry between each side of the nose, or other temporary improvements; it cannot make the nose smaller or improve breathing.
What Is the Downtime After Filler Injections?
There is no downtime with dermal fillers. You can resume most activities right away. Your initial appearance after treatment with any dermal filler may include:
- An “over-filled” appearance due to swelling
- Redness or bruising
- Temporary numbness
These conditions can be alleviated with topical icing and will improve within a matter of hours or just a few days. If Dr. Camp uses your own fat as the injected filler, the healing process is longer and may take a few weeks. Dr. Camp encourages patients who have questions or concerns following treatments to contact our practice.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are dermal fillers safe?
Dermal fillers are safe when injected by an experienced provider into a properly screened patient. We only use FDA-approved fillers for the highest level of safety.
Are filler injections painful?
Most of our fillers contain a local anesthetic to prevent discomfort during injection. In addition, we offer a variety of options to ease any stress about the possibility of pain such as topical anesthesia, a stress ball to squeeze, and even self-administered nitrous oxide with the ProNox® system.
What’s the best lip filler?
Today, there are multiple fillers formulated specifically for the lips including JUVÉDERM Ultra and VOLBELLA, and Restylane Silk. The best choice for you will depend on whether you want to add overall fullness to your lips, define the edges, smooth out fine lines around the mouth, or other goals.
What age should you start getting fillers?
The best age for starting fillers depends on the improvement you’d like to attain. People in their 30s, 40s, 50s, and up choose fillers for facial rejuvenation. Many people as young as 21 choose fillers for lip augmentation and enhancement.
Are dermal fillers the same as BOTOX?
No, fillers work within the skin to smooth away wrinkles, lines, and folds. BOTOX stops the contractions of facial muscles, allowing the skin to gradually smooth out. Often, a combination of these treatments provides the desired facial rejuvenation.
How long do injectable filler results last?
Filler results typically last from 6 months to 2 years, depending on the specific treatment area and filler used.
