Healthy, smooth skin that looks youthful is a goal shared by virtually all the women and men considering skin care treatments at our Fort Worth, TX, practice. We offer a range of options that address various concerns, from wrinkles and age spots to sun damage and unwanted hair. Our team of professionals specializing in nonsurgical aesthetics work with you under the direction of board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Steven Camp.
Your Skin Care Treatment Options
Skin care concerns often require customized solutions to address the unique needs of patients at our practice. That’s why we ask that all patients schedule initial appointments for skincare consultations with one of our nurses before coming in for treatments. This gives us the chance to create a specialized plan that may include prescription skin care recommended by Dr. Camp, in addition to determining the appropriate settings for laser skin treatments if needed.
We use the VISIA® Complexion Analysis system to help us create optimal, customized treatments and skin care regiments that are right for you. The VISIA system uses multi-spectral imaging and analysis to provide information about wrinkles, spots, pores, evenness (color variation in the skin tone), porphyrins (evidence of bacteria in pores) and UV spots (characteristic of photo-damage, typically from overexposure to sun). It’s one of the most advanced systems available to analyze complexions.
Our treatments include injectables, laser skin rejuvenation, and chemical peels.
BOTOX® Cosmetic: BOTOX injections reduce wrinkles around the eyes, such as crow’s feet and worry lines, along with horizontal forehead wrinkles. The most popular cosmetic treatment in the world, BOTOX can be combined with dermal fillers and other procedures to create comprehensive facial rejuvenation. Sara Camp, RN MSN, and Liz Nelson, RN BSN are our licensed nurse injectors whose skill with BOTOX produces effective and natural-looking results.
Dermal Fillers: We offer various fillers, so we can tailor treatments to what works best for each patient. Fillers produce immediate results that can last anywhere from 6 months to nearly 2 years, depending on the product used. Our nurse injectors use fillers with precision to create beautiful results.
KYBELLA®: One of the most common aesthetic concerns among both men and women is the appearance of a double chin. This can be an inherited trait and have little to do with weight. KYBELLA injections work by destroying fat cells in the area below the chin. The body then gradually removes those cells and the result is a slimmer, more well-defined neckline.
Laser Skin Treatments
Forever Young BBL™ Photo Rejuvenation: This anti-aging therapy doesn’t require downtime. We use this light-based treatment to minimize redness, blood vessels, scars, brown spots and smooth uneven skin texture. The procedure works by targeting treatment areas with rapid pulses of broadband light, which gently warms the skin’s outer layers. Deeper layer of skin absorbs the heat, triggering the production of new collagen. Patients usually need an additional 2 to 4 treatments scheduled every 4 weeks to get the optimal results.
Clear + Brilliant®: Often referred to as a “starter” laser treatment, Clear + Brilliant can reduce the size of pores, improve the skin’s tone and texture, and minimize fine lines. The gentle, fractional laser technology used by the treatment usually requires about 4 to 6 sessions to produce the desired results.
Halo™: This breakthrough device is the first Hybrid Fractional Laser (HFL), meaning it’s highly customizable and gives our patients the ability to get the results they want with little downtime. We use Halo for laser skin resurfacing at our Fort Worth practice. It’s appropriate for all skin types and we can treat the neck, chest, and hands, in addition to the face. Because it combines both ablative (more invasive and removes outer skin layers) and non-ablative (doesn’t remove skin’s top layer) wavelengths, Halo can address multiple skin conditions in one treatment. It’s especially noteworthy to correct discoloration and fine lines.
Medical-grade chemical peels can vary in their strength depending on the skin’s condition and the patient’s goals. In most cases, our team recommends light or medium chemical peels to address sun damage, discoloration, and uneven skin texture. A medium peel requires some a few days of recovery and you’ll need to be very careful to avoid direct sun exposure to the targeted area.
